Job Overview: Customer Care Professional In this critical role, you'll be responsible for handling incoming and outbound healthcare contact center calls, gathering and verifying demographic information, and utilizing your exceptional problem-solving skills to resolve basic and complex member issues in real-time. Your ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and provide reassurance will be essential in ensuring our members receive the highest level of care and support. Key Responsibilities: Answer incoming or make outbound healthcare contact center calls, providing exceptional customer service and support to our members Gather and verify demographic information using standard computer software and systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Utilize tools and apply problem-solving skills to identify immediate caller needs, including potential crisis calls, and route calls to appropriate resources according to standard operating procedures Document all call information according to approved operating procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records Employ verbal communication strategies to effectively elicit information, gain confidence from callers, and provide reassurance, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for our members Accurately identify callers' presenting concerns and document per protocol, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up Identify and employ alternative approaches to communicate with callers when encountering barriers, escalating issues as needed to ensure prompt resolution Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics, including punctuality and attendance, demonstrating your commitment to excellence and accountability Education and Experience: To be successful in this role, you'll need a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a minimum of 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare call center environment. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems is also essential, as is strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred, allowing you to provide support to a diverse range of members.
