The EA SPORTS Academy is a unique program designed to accelerate growth as a Software Engineer, focusing on guided learning and technical development in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities You will participate in monthly learning modules throughout your first year as part of your EA SPORTS Academy cohort You will be embedded in an EA SPORTS Development Team and: Collaborate with designers, content creators, and software engineers to deliver features for a cross-platform game Write clear and estimatable technical design specifications Use C/C++ to ship tested and high-quality technical implementations that meet design requirements Follow best practices to maximize game performance across multiple devices and platforms Skills B.Sc. or M.Sc in Computer Science with a graduation date between December 2024 and May 2026 Proficiency in C++ programming Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices Strength working in a collaborative team environment Experience solving challenging engineering problems with creative technical solutions Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge, principles, and solutions 1+ years of experience with another programming language(s) (C# or Java) and/or platforms (mobile, game consoles) is a major plus Benefits Vacation (3 weeks per year to start) 10 days per year of sick time Paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave) Extended health/dental/vision coverage Life insurance Disability insurance Retirement plan to regular full-time employees Bonus and equity Company Overview EA Sports is a brand of Electronic Arts that creates and develops sports video games.
