Director of Property Success

Fairly is seeking a Director of Property Success to oversee all properties that fall outside of local markets, with responsibility both for property performance and homeowner satisfaction. Responsibilities include onboarding homes, recruiting caretakers, operational oversight, and yield management. The Director of Property Success will directly manage a portfolio of properties while also defining best practices and managing a rapidly growing team of Property Success Managers. We are seeking a candidate with significant vacation rental experience (as a GM or similar). Portland, Oregon based candidates are preferred, but exceptional candidates in other locations will be considered. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Planning • Develop and execute a comprehensive Property Success strategy aligned with Fairly’s overall business objectives. • Analyze performance data and client feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in property operations and client service. • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the Property Success team and ensure consistent tracking and reporting. • Collaborate with the Executive Team on long-term planning and forecasting for property portfolio growth and success. Team Management and Development • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing remote team of Property Success Managers and specialists. • Develop training programs and resources to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service. • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and client-centricity within the team. Client Experience and Property Operations • Oversee the entire client journey, from onboarding to ongoing relationship management, ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates. • Implement best practices for property maintenance, compliance, and risk management. • Serve as a point of escalation for complex client or property issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution. • Drive the adoption of new technologies and tools to streamline property success workflows. Qualifications • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in vacation rental management. • Proven experience managing a large-scale property portfolio. • Exceptional leadership and people management skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
