On a typical day, here's what you'll be working on: • Manage client SLA's • Responsible for departmental KPI's to ensure targets are achieved • Manages employee performance management - conducts employee performance evaluations • Creates & Enforces standard operating procedures across the coding function • Drives process improvement in coding service delivery • Collaborates with other RCM functional areas regarding coding needs • Has the authority and responsibility to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline, direct, or recommend such actions by using independent judgment • Creates and presents client reports • Participates in thought leadership - internal and external facing • Completes monthly business review packages and presents as needed • Project management - resource planning as per project scope, risk management, and escalation management This job description will be reevaluated by leadership periodically to allow any necessary modifications due to client profile changes/updates, workflows, policy changes, and regulatory compliance requirements Requirements Who you are! • AAPC or AHIMA certification required, such as CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P • Over seven years of medical coding, billing, and management experience preferred • Anesthesia/surgical coding preferred • Excellent people skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and clients • Ability to work in a collaborative environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Technical/Functional • Knowledge of the healthcare industry • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and Excel • Strong organizational skills • Ability to analyze and problem solve • Ability to work with accuracy and diligence • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Key Competencies Drives Results.
