Cyber Incident Engineer

Verizon seeks an experienced and motivated Cyber Incident Engineer to join our team and help protect our systems from malicious attacks. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized problem-solver with a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest cyber security technologies and trends. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, plus at least 5 years of experience in cyber security and incident response, including a thorough understanding of security protocols and tools. A deep understanding of malicious code and attack vectors is a must. You should have a strong customer service orientation and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Monitor and analyze security systems and networks for potential threats or suspicious activity. • Develop and maintain incident response processes, procedures, and playbooks. • Work closely with the IT and security teams to identify and investigate security incidents. • Respond to security incidents in a timely manner and perform root-cause analysis. • Identify and document security vulnerabilities and recommend solutions. • Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber security technologies and trends. • Design and implement security solutions to protect systems from malicious attacks. • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on security-related issues. • Develop and deliver security training to end-users and other stakeholders. • Create and maintain detailed reports of security incidents.
