Civil Engineer I

They are seeking a Civil Engineer I to contribute to airport and aviation infrastructure design, working on projects related to runways, taxiways, and terminal support infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineers. Responsibilities Assist with civil engineering design tasks for aviation infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage, and utility systems Support preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and technical documentation in accordance with FAA, state, and local standards Assist in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for aviation projects Perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation using established engineering methods Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines Support construction phase services, including review of submittals, RFIs, and participation in site visits as required Apply AECOM quality procedures and follow applicable aviation design standards and safety requirements Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field No prior professional experience required Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar civil design software Basic familiarity with FAA advisory circulars, airport design standards, or airfield pavement concepts Strong written and verbal communication skills Interest in aviation, airport operations, or infrastructure development Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life AD&D Disability benefits Paid time off Leaves of absences Voluntary benefits Perks Flexible work options Well-being resources Employee assistance program Business travel insurance Service recognition awards Retirement savings plan Employee stock purchase plan Company Overview AECOM is a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets.
