Join American Express as a Business Development intern to work on strategic projects driving growth in Global Merchant & Network Services. Your Role Key responsibilities include: • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the merchant & network business and its needs. • Conducting research on the external/competitive landscape and performing data analysis to improve performance and drive growth. • Using innovative methods to prospect for new customers and enhance the customer experience. • Managing external partnerships to create new opportunities and expand the business. • Building relationships with internal and external collaborators. • Contributing to the design and execution of pivotal initiatives and improving efficiency. • Preparing executive presentations on strategic topics for senior management and partners. About You The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree candidates with expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027. • Strong customer focus. • Project management skills. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Problem-solving skills and ability to use data to drive insights. • Demonstrated strategic thought leadership to achieve results. • Track record of results and desire for continuous learning and improvement. • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to deliver timely outputs. • Employment eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
