Automation Engineer - Make.com, MySQL, Airtable & API Integrations
About Us: We're a technical consulting firm specializing in marketing automation and systems integration for clients across various industries. We help businesses optimize their workflows through database management, API integrations, and custom automation solutions. The Role: We're looking for a skilled technical developer to join our team part-time (10-20 hours/week) to help with implementation, troubleshooting, and technical support across client projects. You'll work closely with me on complex automation projects, handling the granular technical details while I maintain client relationships and strategic direction. What You'll Be Doing: - Building and maintaining automation workflows in Make.com - Writing and optimizing MySQL queries and managing database operations - Developing web scrapers using Apify and similar tools - Creating and managing Airtable bases with complex formulas and automations - Building integrations between platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Airtable, and more) - Implementing API connections and webhook configurations - Building interfaces using tools like Retool - Creating data visualizations and dashboards (Grafana, etc.) - Troubleshooting technical issues and debugging automation workflows - Documenting solutions and processes Required Skills: ✅ Proven experience with Make.com, Zapier, or similar automation platforms (N8N) ✅ Strong SQL skills (MySQL/MariaDB preferred) ✅ Airtable expertise (bases, formulas, automations, linked records) ✅ API integration and webhook experience ✅ Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python ✅ Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities ✅ Excellent written communication in English ✅ Ability to work independently with technical direction ✅ Available during US business hours (Central Time preferred) Bonus Skills: - Interface builders (Retool, Softr, Stacker) - Data visualization tools (Grafana, Tableau, Metabase) - Web scraping tools (Apify, Puppeteer, Scrapy) - CRM administration (Salesforce, HubSpot) - Experience in marketing automation - Previous consulting or agency experience Apply tot his job
