ASSOCIATE SAFETY ENGINEER

Caltrans District 3 is a part of the State Compensation Insurance Fund, which provides workers compensation insurance to California employers. They are seeking an Associate Safety Engineer to join their team in providing safety inspection and consultation services to policyholders, focusing on complex risk conditions. Construction safety expertise is an asset Assessing workplace injury/illness risk based on business operations to improve safety Adept at interpreting workplace safety regulations regarding workers compensation and occupational safety and health Ability to interpret charts, graphs and mechanical relationships Proficient at public presentations, training employees and employers Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and work with minimal direct supervision - Team player Effective written and oral communication.
