Accounting Clerk (14-month contract)

As an Accounting Clerk, you will support the integrity and accuracy of financial operations through dependable accounting and administrative support, contributing to high-quality financial processes and strong internal partnerships. Responsibilities Perform general accounting and financial administration duties to support day-to-day business operations Maintain accurate, well-organized, and confidential financial records in accordance with internal controls and best practices Respond to internal and external inquiries and assist in resolving financial or billing-related issues in a professional and timely manner Support month-end and period-end close activities, including preparing reports and completing reconciliations Collaborate with team members to support accounting and finance operations, including cross-coverage and shared responsibilities Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned Skills 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting-related role Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and database-related functions Strong written and verbal communication skills A professional demeanor with excellent customer service abilities The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and multitask A high level of accuracy and attention to detail Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or a related field Experience using Microsoft Great Plains or another ERP system Accounts Receivable experience A working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Benefits A competitive extended health and dental plan for you and your family A yearly RRSP contribution on the company’s behalf, plus employee contribution matching to support your financial growth Generous paid time off and hybrid work options whenever possible Access to free on-site gyms at both Victoria locations Social events nearly every month Paid for choosing sustainable transportation Company Overview Reliable Controls is a electric desighning & manufacturing company.
